	Inside Mount Inside Mounted shutters are mounted inside the window casing and do not cover the window molding. Window must be “square” for an inside mount installation. To determine squareness, measure diagonally (upper to lower left, then upper right to lower left), if the measurements differ by more than 1/2”, your window is not square enough for an inside mount. Inside mounted shutters are mounted inside the window frame recess. How to measure inside mount:
	Width Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom). Take the smallest of the three measurements. Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order. We will make all necessary deductions to allow for mounting brackets.
Height Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places. Take the smallest of the three measurements. Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement.
	Outside Mount Outside mount shutters are mounted on the wall, on molding or beyond molding and require at least 1" of flat surface to properly install the frame. How to measure outside mount: Width Measure the exact width (left to right) of the inside edge of the window frame in three places (top, middle and bottom). Take the largest of the three measurements. Write down that size making sure that it is the first number of the measurement. This is the width you will order. The factory will make all necessary additions.
Height Measure the exact height (top to bottom) from the top inside edge down to the window sill in three places. Take the largest of the three measurements. Write down that size making sure that it is the second number of the measurement.
